Y’all, let’s get this year’s resorting done early
We’ll start by reviewing the year JK Rowling made her transphobic positions abundantly clear.
Why people are losing their minds about Harry Potter and JK Rowling AGAIN
How do I tell my child that Harry Potter’s mom abuses women and children?
Dear Cisters: I’ve never seen JK Rowling hurt anyone, so why won’t you shut up about it?
When I think about who a person is — including myself — I think about that person that existed before we were born. The one unaffected by life. They’re just a soul with the precious possibility of existence ahead of it.
I tell that to myself whenever I make a mistake and feel ashamed.
I’m a human being. I make mistakes, but that doesn’t make me a mistake.
So I love JK Rowling. I love the part of her that has nothing to do with anything she has experienced. I love the part of her that has nothing to do with any of her views or where they came from.
But those views? Holy shit y’all. They are hateful, bigoted, transphobic views.
If JK Rowling is willing to diminish, harm, and abuse any woman who has had what she can personally (and legally?!) identify as a transgender experience — where will she stop?
Seriously…would JK Rowling pass a Voldemort test? Or did you forget she literally blocked horror author Stephen King for simply saying trans women are women?
Or that she incited violence against queer icon and ally Graham Norton?
Or when she published a new book about an animator facing violence after making horribly racist and transphobic tweets?
Or that said book was 600 PAGES LONGER THAN DUNE?!?!!!!!
